Privacy and anonymity are two different things. Privacy is about making sure no one can access your data, while anonymity is about making sure no one knows who you are.
One of the easiest way to be more anonymous on the internet is to use different email address for different accounts. This helps make sure your data across different services cannot be combined by data brokers to draw deeper insights.
This is easier said than done - different email addresses for so many services is a headache to create and manage.
That's where addy.io comes in. Its an email alias service that makes it easier to use aliases for all the different services you use. Like Ente, their code is open source making it self hostable as well.
Today, we are glad to announce addy.io as Ente's new friend.
As part of this, all Ente customers will get 25% off any of their annual plans (Lite, Pro, Duo or Family) for the first year. Just go to the Friends page, enter your email address, and you will get your coupon code in mail.
Addy.io customers get 25% off on all Ente plans for the first year too. Steps here.
With Friends, we aim to showcase services that will help you manage your threat model without relying on a single provider. If you think there are other services we should add, feel free to reach out on our community discord.
