Buschtaxi
DJ Koze
Koze takes us on a journey into ourselves. Hypnotic patterns, repetitive screeches, primal screams: who are we?

Hayloft
Mother Mother
It's a manic fever dream that keeps snapping at you like a rabid dog.

On loop, it’s the perfect ambient song to calm one down.

Song for Zula
Phosphorescent
This song gave me chill bombs the first time I heard it, and it’s stayed near the top of my playlist ever since.

LC-39A
Test Shot Starfish
Test Shot Starfish ‘is the sound of space, if it had one -- at least in this parsec’. For example, their song ‘LC-39A’ is inspired by the launch pad of the same name, which launched Apollo, Space Shuttle, and Falcon Heavy. Their music is also commonly used in SpaceX's YouTube livestreams for rocket launches.

Gujariya
Ben Parag
The song is inspired by vintage Bollywood, with a modern electronic-pop twist.
He wrote this song in 10 minutes while traveling to the studio in a rickshaw (I can relate to finishing things at the last minute).

Saagara Shayana Vibho
Agam
An ode to the divine chilling in the cosmos, originally composed by M. D. Ramanathan in 1959.

Wet Sand
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Most underrated RHCP song. I'm not sure of their intended meaning behind the song, but to me the second half is about overcoming the struggle to make an impact in an ultimately meaningless world. Gives me goosebumps every time.

The Cycle
Govind Vasantha
One of the original scores from the film, by Govind Vasantha. I find myself going back to it often, and I really love the flute part that comes in at the end.

Sol
Alef
This is the song I once tripped to for 6 hours. It took me somewhere else entirely, and I’ve loved it ever since.

Stop This Train
John Mayer
This song is close to my heart. I don’t usually pay much attention to song lyrics, but this one is an exception because of how beautifully it’s written.
It’s about growing older and feeling scared or unprepared for the changes that come with it. John uses a train as a metaphor for the passage of time and wishes he could ‘stop this train.’ But he realises he can’t stop time and begins to accept that he has to keep moving forward.

Hit Save
deadmau5
One of the best of deadmau5’s many unreleased tracks. 16 minutes long. He worked on this for many years (and thus multiple versions of it exist), an example of how artists believe their craft is never good enough to be released.

Money for Nothing
Dire Straits
Rediscovered this a couple of months back.

Silent Cat
Sushin Shyam · K.ZIA
One of those songs I can keep coming back to. Just has a really nice late-night vibe.

Let the Fire Burn
Odd Obsessions
Made by two close friends of mine. But don't let that dissuade you; this is high-quality music. Great for when you want to go all out.

Raga Aberi
L. Shankar
Sometimes I think things are so complicated. Then I listen to this and watch the footage someone put on it, and I see how things are so simple, and each breath is already everything and more.
